BELLA HARDY and Blue Rose Code's ROSS WILSON partner for a UK 'duet' tour in Spring 2014, and will be performing a show at The Anchor Arts Centre on 2nd March!

Hardy, from Peak District and now residing in Edinburgh, is recognised as a first rate songwriter, winning BBC Radio 2 Folk Award for Best Original Song in 2012, an award which she was first nominated in 2008 with Three Black Feathers.
With a mission to present folk songs in the best tradition; not as antiquated museum pieces, but as relevant and very human artworks, Hardy's fine fiddling and mesmerising voice have propelled her to the vanguard of British folk music.

On the contrary, growing up in a scheme on Edinburgh's East side, Wilson's musical education was entirely Smash Hits, Motown and Nashville. In demand as a writer and co-writer, 'the song' will forever be Wilson's great love. Fleeing Edinburgh for London's bright lights in 2004, it was whilst away that Wilson began to yearn for his Scottish roots. Karine Polwart's 'Fairest Floo'er' and the famous BBC Transatlantic Sessions were Wilson's introduction to the Folk Tradition and he has never looked back. 2013 has seen a debut album on Reveal Records featuring the peerless Danny Thompson and smash shows at the Cambridge and Shrewsbury Folk Festivals. In the autumn, Nashville called and Wilson travelled to Tennessee with the BBC andBob Harris for their prestigious songwriters' showcase. Wilson has also reworked a Norman McCraig poem, 'True Ways of Knowing', for the Guardian as part of a ongoing Scottish cultural writing project.

A love of both original songwriting and the rich, broad seam of British traditional music has brought this due together, where, some said, never the twain shall meet. Following two impromptu outings in Scotland, the musical delight this due are bound to deliver is eagerly anticipated.

Support by Dan Wilde, an English singer-songwriter and musician from Blackpool, now living in Canterbury. He has released two solo albums so far, the most recent being With Fire in Mind.
